IT Relocation

We ensure that IT is moved at the very beginning of a project and use a failsafe method for tracking each piece of equipment.

Decommissioning

Our IT engineers attend project meetings to be sure they fully understand the schedule and your priorities. On the first day of decommissioning, they will be on site several hours before the system shutdown begins so they can familiarise themselves with the systems and safety procedures.

To guarantee the absolute integrity of your system, it is vital that a clear audit trail is created. This trail is initiated before any decommissioning takes place by assigning each work location a unique ID number and creating an inventory of all IT equipment at each position.

Relocation

All IT equipment is wrapped in anti-static bubble wrap and then packed in specifically designed IT crates. The crates are labelled with their new location code prior to transportation in air-ride vehicles to their new destination.

Recommissioning

With the equipment in place at the new workstations, the technical team work to an implementation schedule which has been agreed with the client to ensure that every piece of equipment, including peripherals, is reconnected and tested.

The extent of the service provided at this stage can range from a stand-alone recommission to a full network reconfiguration and test. The Function team consists of experts in all areas of IT support — from laser printers to network engineering — so you can be certain that any problems will be addressed immediately, with no interruption to the schedule.

The IT audit trail is available electronically and/or as hard copy. It provides a complete, accurate and dynamic IT management system from day one at the new building.
